FAQs
How does the side by side get to the trailhead?
We drop off, pick up, gas up, and wash the off-road rentals for your reservation.
Before you ride off, we will give you a full walk around, answer any questions, and show you how to safely operate the vehicle.
Drop off and pick up will be at the Camp Bird Rd Trailhead which services Yankee Boy Basin, Imogene Pass, and Governor Basin.
What should we bring? How should we prepare?
In order to prepare, we need all passengers to come in the morning of your reservation to complete and sign the rental agreement and liability waivers. Next, a damage deposit will be held on the credit card on file. Lastly, a copy of the drivers’ licenses of any persons planning to drive will be taken.
What is included with our off-road rentals?
How old do I have to be to rent? How old do I have to be to drive?
Renters must be 25 years old+ and with a valid driver’s license to sign rental agreement and agree to terms and conditions.
You must be 21 years old + and with a valid driver’s license to drive rental.
We do not allow switching of riders.
What is your cancellation policy?
Who is responsible for damage?
While the off-road vehicle is rented to you, it is basically your vehicle. You are 100% responsible for damage costs, liability, or loss which includes the cost of repairs or actual cash value of the vehicle as well as the days loss while repairing the vehicle if already reserved.
We do have a $25 Tire Insurance that cover tire repair/replacement on your ride. However, if you take it slow and are careful there should not be any problems.
Do you allow pets?
We do, however you are fully responsible for any behavior and/or damage. If you bring your pet, we ask that you bring a blanket/towel to protect the seats.
If you would like to board your pet for the day, we highly recommend Ouray Dog Company!
Do you offer tours, elopements/weddings, business retreats, etc.?
We do! If you are interested in any of the above, please give us a call! Our main source of business is rentals. However, we have an immense amount of knowledge and experience with the trails. Whether it is ceremony location recommendations, touring large groups, or so much more, we got you covered! We are happy to help you have the best experience possible!.
What if we are traveling with small children?
Yes! Kids are welcome on our tours and rentals. Children can ride safely in their car seat inside the UTV.
If you would prefer a day to explore with just adults and older children, many families choose to use local childcare while they are out on the trails. We personally recommend Tiny Colorado Treasures Childcare. They are a trusted local provider that we use for our own son. If you would like their contact information or pricing sheet, just reach out to us and we can help plan your day.
Where should we stay when visiting Ouray?
We recommend:
- Timber Ridge Lodge- This cozy, quiet lodge is a favorite for guests who want a relaxed mountain lodge atmosphere. Rooms are clean and comfortable and it is within walking distance of the Ouray Hot Springs and River Walk. Nightly fires with complementary smores make it a great place to unwind after a day on the trails.
- Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs- For guests looking for a unique experience, this lodge offers private mineral hot tubs built into the mountainside, the perfect way to relax after a full day out on the trails. The property has a quiet, tucked away feel while being within walking distance to Main St.
